Registration
Pre-registration for Children of The Woodlands takes place in the spring. Families currently enrolled in the school may register first and members of The Woodland United Methodist Church have the opportunity to register before the public. A lottery system is used and families that are out-of-town can be easily accommodated.
Church Membership
A parent or legal guardian must be a formal member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church to participate in priority registration. Membership must have been established by December 31st prior to registration. Families that are not members pay an additional fee. Membership status for fees is based on church membership rosters when payment is due.
Waiting List
A waiting list will be maintained for those interested in enrollment when space becomes available. A tour of the school is required before your child’s name will be wait-listed with the exception of families moving to the area. No fee is charged. Each wait list is for one school year only, ending in May.
Our waiting list is usually quite active. Once a student is placed on the waiting list, we will notify a parent as soon as a space becomes available. An immediate decision will be required. Parents will have these options:
· Take the space that is offered and be removed from the waitlist.
· Take the space that is offered, but choose to remain on the waiting list for other options.
· Decline the offer, but remain on the waiting list for other options.
· Ask to be removed from our waiting list completely.
If we are unable to reach you within 24 hours we will leave your child’s name on the waiting list and move on to the next child.
