Worship Services
The members at The Woodlands United Methodist Church believe that worshiping God is our highest priority. The primary reason we meet together is to focus our attention on God, giving Him our worship and receiving His inspiration. Multiple services are held on Sunday morning, offering traditional and contemporary styles of worship.
Our Beliefs
"In essential beliefs we have unity, in non-essential beliefs we have liberty, and in all beliefs we have charity." - John Wesley, Founder of the Methodist movement
Our Story
In January, 1978 Edmund W. Robb, III was appointed founding pastor of TWUMC. Since that time, our driving mission has been winning people to Jesus Christ, discipling them in faith, and helping those in need
From the beginning, The Woodlands United Methodist Church has experienced phenomenal growth. In just 25 years, membership has escalated from 76 to over 6,500 people - making it one of the nation's fastest growing congregations!
Baptism
Baptism is our initiation into the church and our identification as children of God. God initiates this relationship and chooses us as daughters and sons, beginning our life-long journey of faith. God's choice happens regardless of our age or our response. Because God chooses us once and for all, this is an act that should not be repeated. Those that are baptized as children must make the choice to confirm their belief in Christ to continue as members of the church.
